Where We Come from Drives Where We Go.
BabesGotBytes was founded in 2019, BabesGotBytes started as a local initiative to empower women and girls in underserved communities with digital skills and coding. Seeing the demand for tech education, the founders expanded the program, launching boot camps to teach web development, digital literacy, and cybersecurity.
Since then, BabesGotBytes has grown into a vibrant community of over 1,000 women and girls across South Africa, connecting them with job opportunities and mentorship. Our mission is to equip women with the skills and confidence to thrive in tech, creating lasting opportunities for their future.
What we do.
ACTIVISM
We’re not just preparing women & girls to enter the workforce – we’re preparing them to lead, improve, and completely and totally transform industries.
COLLABORATION
We believe Working collaboratively, and building teams from individuality helps improve productivity. It also becomes easier to brainstorm ideas to solve an existing problem or deliver the required work on time.
Our journey so far.
At 14, I joined BabesGotBytes and discovered my passion for coding. Their Saturday programs empowered me to pursue a career in fintech, opening a world of possibilities. Thank you, BabesGotBytes!
